WELL, HELLO THERE...
... thank you for your interest in my work!
I'm a neurodivergent, non-binary designer from London telling stories through theatre and visual art.
I love combining elements of different styles and practices to create experiences that transcend perception and allow people to connect on a different, more personal level - emotional, philosophical or otherwise. I adore colourful, extravagant, and thought-out aesthetics and always search for beauty among the ordinary and mundane. I like to work closely with a director, creating the world of the production as a co-creative team and developing their budding ideas into original designs that support and enhance the performance. I also enjoy the interplay between set and light and am always excited about the chance to collaborate with a skilled lighting designer!
Much of my practice draws on the artistic side of science or the scientific basis of art and I believe that the two worlds are much more closely intertwined than it may appear at first glance. Outside the theatre I'm a studied biotechnologist turned human geneticist, and currently PhD candidate in Psychiatry/Health Neuroscience at Cambridge. Especially the latter frequently informs my designs as I love to play around with the mechanisms of visual memory and perception!

In what little free time remains I am a (rather vocal) advocate for LGBT+ issues and accessibility and am always especially thrilled to be working on projects with queer and/or socio-political themes. I use they/them pronouns.
